Our Family Blog: Easter Preparation!

We started the Easter celebration with egg decorating. Aiden really enjoyed this, he loved putting the eggs in different colored cups of dye. He had a hard time waiting. He wanted to put the egg in and take it out a second later with instant results. He gets his lack of patience from his mom. :) After the eggs were colored he put stickers on them, a lot of stickers. He was so excited that some of the eggs got crushed with enthusiasm!! They aren't the prettiest eggs around but Aiden thinks they are awesome so that is what is important.

The day before Easter, we met some friends at the town Easter Egg Hunt. It was separated by age and since Aiden towers over kids his age, we put him in the 3-4 year old section. They blew the horn and Aiden ran and picked up one egg. He wanted to open the first egg he grabbed and didn't seem too interested in getting more. I tried pointing out eggs to Aiden but other kids would hear me and run to the egg and pick them up before Aiden got to it. After the egg was taken by another kid, he would just stare at me like "now what?" Maybe putting him in an older age section wasn't the best idea!Haha! He collected 7 eggs and he was very proud of himself and enjoyed eating the candy.
